Terms of Service — Metena

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Metena mobile application ("the Service"), developed by Metena, a sole proprietorship based in Paris, France ("Metena").

By creating an account or using the Service, you unreservedly accept these Terms.

Metena is a decision-support tool. It is NOT a financial advisor.

• The analyses, briefs, conviction scores, and suggestions generated by Metena are provided for informational purposes only.
• They do not constitute investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell, or a portfolio management service.
• Past performance is not indicative of future performance. Backtests are simulations based on historical data.
• Any investment decision is made under your sole responsibility.
• Cryptocurrencies are volatile assets carrying a risk of total capital loss.

Metena is an investment strategy analysis application that includes:

• AI-assisted strategy generator (the "Owl")
• Personalized daily AI brief
• Strategy backtesting (historical simulation)
• Price and conviction alerts
• Portfolio tracking via Exchange connection (read-only)
• Comparator for exotic strategies (mining, RWA, crypto lending)

4.1 Account creation

You must be at least 18 years old to use Metena. By creating an account, you certify that you meet this requirement.

4.2 Security

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Any activity carried out from your account is attributed to you.

4.3 Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the application's Settings. Deletion results in the permanent erasure of all your data within 30 days.

5.2 Premium subscription

• The Premium subscription is available on a monthly or annual plan.
• The price is displayed in the application before any purchase.
• Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) depending on your platform.

5.3 Automatic renewal

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

5.4 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time via:

• iOS: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play → Subscriptions

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. No pro-rata refund is granted for the remaining period, except where legally required.

5.5 Refunds

Refunds are processed in accordance with Apple's and Google's policies. For any request: support@metena.app

Connecting your Exchange accounts (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken) is optional and requires read-only API keys only. Metena cannot:

• Place buy or sell orders
• Withdraw or transfer funds
• Modify your Exchange account settings

Your keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored on servers hosted in Germany. See the Privacy Policy for more details.

The Metena application, its code, algorithms, graphical interface, and the "Owl" character are the exclusive property of Metena. Any reproduction or use without prior written authorization is prohibited.

Your data (strategies, journals, profile) remains your property. You grant Metena a limited license to process it in order to provide you with the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• Metena is not liable for financial losses resulting from an investment decision made based on the Service's analyses.
• Metena is not liable for service interruptions, errors, or inaccuracies in market data from third-party sources (Binance, CoinGecko, etc.).
• Metena's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user over the past 12 months.

Metena reserves the right to modify the Service or these Terms. Any substantial change will be notified with 14 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after this period constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts shall be those of Paris.
